Public Utility Provider Reduces Costs and Meets Tight Timeline with HP Printers

Santee Cooper has been doing business with Duncan-Parnell for many years, from wide format services like maintaining their existing plotters to providing them with survey equipment and supplies. Santee Cooper is a premier power provider and source of electricity and water in South Carolina. They have said they are the first to offer Green Power (electricity generated by renewable resources such as solar and wind) in the state of South Carolina.

In November of 2021, Karen Baskerville was looking to have new wide-format printer machines installed in several departments on different campuses at Santee Cooper. They were looking for equipment that would meet their needs for speed and efficiency. As the IT Asset Manager for Computer Client Services, Karen's team is responsible for overseeing the company's printer purchases and maintenance contracts.

Santee Cooper decided to go with Duncan-Parnell in late November, with one caveat, we needed to install the wide format printers by the end of the year. With inventory shortages and time being of the essence, our Sales Representative, Dean Hovis assessed Karen’s concerns recommending they use the HP XL5200 printer with a folder. This printer would be able to efficiently fold a large volume of documents and quickly complete each job. Dean also took the time to work with an HP Representative Technician and set up a demo to train Santee Cooper employees on the new equipment. The result: employees were able to start utilizing the new machines immediately with confidence.

In fact, Karen’s team was so pleased with HP’s printers that they decided to upgrade their older machines to newer HP wide format printer models. With HP’s equipment helping cut production costs and Duncan-Parnell’s ongoing onsite support and maintenance, Santee Cooper can look forward to years of reduced expenses and enhanced workflows.
