This class assumes you know nothing about GIS. We start with the basics and build up. Knowledge of computers is required.

• How can I create GIS data from survey data
• Where can I get background data (streets, aerials, parcels, etc)
• How can I create or use existing GIS data out in the field with survey grade receivers (TerraSync, Survey Controller or ArcPad)

• ArcMap basics
• Using the basic tools
• Create Maps of different sizes to print or email
• Send your data to GIS firms in their requested format
